Adding clusters
Before you use System Manager to manage your clusters, you have to add them to System Manager. You can also add storage systems that are in an HA pair.
Before you begin 
•
All the nodes in the cluster must be running a supported version of Data ONTAP.
•
You must be aware of the fully qualified DNS host name or the IPv4 address of the cluster management LIF.
About this task 
You cannot manage individual nodes of a cluster by using System Manager.
You cannot manage storage systems running Data ONTAP 8.1.x that contain Storage Virtual Machines (SVMs) with Infinite Volume.
Steps 
1.
From the home page, click Add.
2.
Type the fully qualified DNS host name or the IPv4 address of the cluster.
You must enter the cluster management interface IP address.
3.
Click the More arrow.
4.
Select the method for discovering and adding the cluster:
•
SNMP
You must specify the SNMP community and SNMP version.
•
Credentials
You must specify the user name and password.
5.
Click Add.
